November 30 - snow day, crappy day!

Today is a day like no other, in a LONG time. Started out yesterday close to 70, now it is 19, first rain, then sleet, still sleet, more sleet, expecting snow and single digit temps for tonite and tomorrow probably more snow. Glad I didn't have to go out into the elements. I was "nice" and invited the neighbor with the hell hounds to park her car under my extra slot carport, since someone is no longer here to use it. The dog is confused, goes out, rodeos, and comes back in with ice crystals on his back. Hasn't bothered to stop and do business, then wants a repeat performance. He crapped twice today so maybe he doesn't really need to go. I try to entice him by pitching a brightly colored ball into the yard - as he goes gets it and brings it in...

Didn't have power for 2 hours or so this morning. NOT fun! House was silent, dark, and cool, since I don't heat a bunch anyway - aside from keeping my bedroom without heat... puppy and I went back to bed, stayed until after 10 then got up. about 45 minutes or so later, had power. i have turned the heat up a couple of degrees just in case it goes out again from the ice clinging to power lines. last ice storm i was in, we had a fireplace, and that kept my child and me warm enough, plus camping out in the family room with the fireplace going. not that element of heat here. total electric. Can't even turn on an oven for heat.

Have a job interview Wednesday - won't say where, don't want to jinx it. Just need luck. Quasi getting used to not having anyone around, but he still stops by about every day for some purpose, usually to reset his computer on the news groups and do laundry, or such.... Making enuf on the eBay at present, to keep going since not out in the world. Just transferred another couple hundred bux to the bank, and the same or a bit over last week. Now, gotta get busy and get stuff in the mail. Sold the stupid shoes I had bought that didn't fit anyone - the major white elephant ones..... Glad to see them go! Will be glad when it warm up enough to get rid of this snow. Perhaps this will be enough for the whole winter. get it out of the way, and then cruise the rest of the way through. ?????? doubtful.

Weekend wonder! Saturday

Found two decks (tarot) that had been hiding, close to like $400.00, for about 2 weeks, which I got shipped out asap (the dog and I went to the post office and dunked them prior to evening pick up) took him then to see where the cousin and his (Jean Luc's) relatives are living, then to Andy's for ice cream. He loves Andy's. Now, home, which only leaves me one deck to locate and 5 total to mail out, in two packages. Spent over $80.00 in postage today! One package to the UK was over $36.00. But, the high end stuff is gone, at this moment, and only smaller items need shipped now. BTW, that is on Stamps.com only. I use USPS thru Paypal as well, for posting US stuff. I only use Stamps.com for International, my kid, and special items. Ain't life grand?

Thankful Thursday

Thank you Virginia, there must be a Santa.... Friday - tomorrow - is my last day at the grindstone. Their budgetary constraints could not allow a new PO for my expenses. 4 hours a day at $7.50 must be breaking the bank for them. I am elated, though no new job on the horizon. Will use the time to organize and move crap around.... literally! I put up a shoe rack, have the new bedding for the old newly opened bedroom, will maybe help him get stuff out so i can get stuff in, for getting the room painted and decorated - again... At least our bout with ugly weather did not last, and although the dog was upset with the winds, slept comfortably in my bed.... Raise a glass and cheer the change. I am more than ready!

My child, when I said this, says "You mean Kunta Kinta" - damn! And I thought I gave such a good reason to get out of the Redneck end of the woods early! BTW, saw Sweet Polly Purebred a couple of times a day, she is changing hair again. It was very dark, like cherry wood, but now it more brassy.... She smiled at me, or had a gas pain - but then, when you are in the midst of people around, and I am in the "big cheese" area, (Toby the big cheese?????) she could hardly act totally avoidant, as she did the first time I saw her today, when she actually almost jumped away from the fax machine to get outta Dodge! So today, I friggin filed..... moved files in cabinets, copied files via copier for them to mail out, and a tad of data entry. At least I don't have to carry crap now, the steps are still there, which I limp up and down, but they carry all of the papers that are in a stack..... Ain't I special? (not).... Am dog setting for the holiday, while cousin goes to friends. Bought TV dinner turkey dinners for the festives... No left overs, but why did they pitch in friggin peas? Yuck!

Tuesday. tired already!

I tried to get unattached with the work place today, talking to the agency about some crap. They called the place and damn, they are going to accommodate me for lifting and crap! Word was they wanted to keep me longer than the 20th, at which I am pitching a BIG one. I said I will stay until then, but not after that! They cut my hours again to 4 a day, going in at 10 and home at 2. This happened yesterday. Denise said if they ask to keep me, I would need more money than they are paying at present. Evidently they don't understand the words "I don't like this place" and "I don't want to be here anymore."

Need to find someone with organizational skills, time on their hands, handiman stuff, and hopefully someone around, not physically, but just around, a bit more without bitching! Cuz was back today, I had bought a coffeepot, he decided the water in the house gives him the skootz! Said to drink coffee here, would have to bring his own water! What a baby!

Saturday Night - no fever, thank gawd!

Snoozed in the recliner most of the day - either that or was in a coma! Of course, the dog was evidenly being heart monitor as he played his favorite game of "corsage" and hung with me. Cousin came over again today to do a few things, brought Tess to visit. Thus this week, I have gotten to see Tess and Buddy, next maybe he will bring over Halo. You could tell the little ones missed me. Tess clung on me and snuggled, and kept moving my hand to pat her, if I stopped. Sure is silent in here, sure is cluttered....I need organization - if he gets his stuff out I can hopefully get some organization started. Went to get a burger and gas in the car. I had one of my fashion articles on... I had my blue cloud nightie with lingere pictures on it, black socks, my Tatami sandals, and a maroon sweater. The lady in Rapid Roberts sure looked! I proudly got out, got in the back seat and got a can of EFI cleaner, ran the pump and "got her done". Bought a deal of apple slices for the dog at McDonald's, for him a treat. I feel maybe another coma coming upon me.

Fall fell!

Looks like fall has it. I bought groceries today and got the dog clipped (cousin did that part). Within 10 days, I will be out of the onslaught of redneckers, and will be glad!

Still haven't seen her for awhile. Sweet Polly seems to be on a different schedule than I come and go. Wonder if I should leave her mother's "threat" in her file for someone to see, when I am gone, to wonder what is going on? Sort of like a gift, you know?????? It seems I have emassed too many hours for their budgeting, so may be leaving earlier, was only to work 4-6 weeks at 4 hours a day and have been working 8 plus hours a day - OMG had a bit over an hour overtime last week, so they are panicing on if their budget will allow me much more time there. She (the HR) will look at my time to see how much more crap Toby can do there for them..... I asked if I needed to come back next week, and she said I surely had enough time to go through Monday.

Was invited for their "secret" pie in one of the offices yesterday. It was pumpkin but it sure wasn't the color of pumpkin and the texture was strange. Cool Whip, of course was superb. Today they brought me a "bear claw" have no clue from where, but the inside was FULL of cinnamon, i tore it apart, and played with the cinnamon prior to ingesting it.... thought to self it must have been bear toe jam....not that into cinnamon, but free is great! I hope to be gone prior to their Thanksgiving luncheon as I don't want to break bread with someone... wink wink wink...

Wednesday doldrums!

Much trash to put out this week. Cousin came over and helped. Bitched of course about a screw on the NEW desk I bought, which I gave to him, still in the box. The "Divorce" of sorts is to be a different kind of thing, I think. He wants to set up a computer link in the basement - already one there, to download stuff from the newsgroups, so still must be planning daily vigils and visits. Bought laundry stuff, so must be gonna do laundry here, too. Didn't help put my "Creeper" together, only complained it may not want to work on carpet. Puppy is doing well, with the change, I let him watch food network all day and he hasn't peed in the floor. My little alarm clock gets up at 620 each morning, like clockwork! I had a momentary lapse of control and tooted twice this morning - he must have been close to that area as he made a strange noise. He farts, I don't complain! Haven't seen Sweet Polly at all! only a couple or so more weeks. Damn, am I counting! Each day, I keep wondering about calling the agency to see what day I can give my 2 day notice to not return, and if they would tell them I was disenchanted or not! We had two people with dumb-ass-itis come in today... they put up a doorbell so I can sit closer in the HR area and go help people... stupid people one rang and came on in, the other came in and asked for someone from HR! Whatta bitch! Either they can't read, write, and I know the workers there don't write cause they can't sign their names legible! Eating a Frosty for dinner. such is life.

Tuesday the 7th

Been down in the back. Took yesterday off of work, hurt too badly to go in. Went to the massage place and got one... Chiropracted today, now I feel so aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Cousin is pretty much moved, except for more stuff and you know the drill. He is keeping some stuff here, storage in the basement and such. Am looking for someone to help me get organized, decluttered, and like a real person, again. The daughter and family are talking separation. Oh well! This too shall pass. More, when time permits.
