Dec 26th Gawd am I glad it is over!

Survived the holiday. Went to Ziggie's for a piece of pumpkin pie...Man, was it BAD! The crust was like cardboard - taste and consistency! I dog sat with the two girls and Jean Luc, who of course, lives here. The baby went visiting with his "dad" out of town. I cooked for my dinner a great sirloin steak and baked potato. Was too full for salad, but I had the fixings, plus veggies, which remained uncooked.

Watched 2 movies - Lady in the Water - was pretty darn good. Black Christmas, the 1974 version, which for some lame reason is a 2 day rental and I did not realize it was a different version than that which started at theaters yesterday - majorly sucked! Margot Kidder got her just desserts, with a glass unicorn's horn. Teach her to talk about fellatio with a cop! Of course,he was a doof, and didn't get the rationality or the meaning of the word.

Still no job, I guess I will wait it out until the first of the year, then run like hell to find something somewhere. I am cold today. Did 3 loads of laundry yesterday. Went to the video store, saw two people come in in their pajamas (after 3 pm) and house shoes. Thought it was a tad tacky, but then, I delivered movies on Saturday - 7 am... no one there.... in jammies and a throw jacket and house shoes. Not like going in and doing shopping. Just shoved the movies in the slot and drove off.

Thinking of going back to bed. Sent a Christmas card to an old ex-friend - Mrs. Supreme being, who totally ignored it, and also sent a link on a funny site, which also remained un-noticed.

Scanning the board, I noticed that The Vaginator and Mr PrickleDick were unavoidably absent from the gathering, as was Smelly Ock Sheath, as he lives "out of state" - not sure what planet, but definitely out of state. Gladly, he, the all knowing, sent messages of James Brown's demise, since we are country bumpkins and do not get or understand the workings of a newspaper!

It seems Polly Purebred is quite the vocal one but her "mate" is unseemingly quiet and appears non-existent. Oh, if it were true! Perhaps he got caught in the rush hour, when it started to shower ... you know the drill. You know that old "Expressway to your heart" song.

Dec 17

Tomorrow is my grandson's birthday. Had all dogs yesterday for a dog-sitting day. Today is a quiet day, introspection and quasi depression. Found somthing that was hiding and I was worried about getting in the mail, but damn, moved a couple of trays and there it was. We (dog and I) took it to the post office in hopes it will go out earlier than 7 pm, as stated on the post box tomorrow night. Only behind one item now, but no major hurry on it and another to send out just after the holiday. Oh, gotta find a book to send to Canada, that is escaping at the moment. Damn those dark trolls for hiding stuff!

Oh Gawd, I went to a store shopping today!

I have backslid! I went to Barnes and Noble for a gift today. Finished my online shopping by getting with BIDZ.com - who screwed me and upon enough grinching and complaining, decided I had the proof they were the wrong party and fixed my problem, and found a dealer on eBay with JUST THE RIGHT THING for me to give to the men I know. I am done! Now, I will get all in the mail tomorrow and be done with this commercialism. The gift from Barnes and Noble? A journal for an author who is taking classes on poetry. She has written 3-4 books, but has now turned to learning legit poetry and the rules - I guess I write prose and doggrell, and free form, which is good enough as I don't care about the poetic feet (Iambic pentameter, etc) or rhythm.

I have been published a few times; however, I don't write much anymore. Best therapy you can give yourself.... I sure killed a lot of people on paper and got even with them without damage to self, property, freedoms, or law. Oops, I lied, I went to All About Dogs and Cats one time a day for the last 2 days to get dog toys, and the free samples of dog food, which he thinks is a treat.... I basically consider that grocery shopping for the dog, and just happening to get a toy.

Much nice weather, am damn glad it is as warm as it is as I hate the cold and snow. Still no work, but I have put good money back from eBay and should make it okay.... dunno about taxes, but everything else is okay.

Ms. Dumbass is at it again!

Anyone seen the Whiner column? Wondering if her arms break from patting herself on the back for how wise she is.... Ever wondered if a swift kick in the patoot would be the better gift? I, at times, think perhaps I could offer the olive branch, try to accept her and her con artist ways, but then, damn! She goes and does something else or writes some blurb or brags, and then there I go, ragged again! The dog and I have gotten up the last two nights (mornings) at 2-3 to play on Bidz.com - made some major purchases, then he goes to sleep, and leaves me awake. He is the commedian to want to get up.... Twice we have taken toys to bed.... I may evict him from the bed and make him play reclinerville so I can get a whole night! And to think, as well, Sweet Polly Purebred is top of form, posts and Smelly Ock Sheath is up to his wiseassness on a daily basis. Calgon, take me away! The grandson'd birthday is the 18th. Soon, it will all be over with and things will get back to normal (whatever normal is). I hear my bed.... it says come to me... come to me.... come to me.... now that it is 5:02 am.

Dec 10th

Tomorrow is my child's birthday. She will be 33. Have been noticing that the "list" that I am no longer active on is posting hot and heavy from the stinky footed member. He at least can read, and feels he must share his knowledge - or lack thereof - with the world. like the people in MO can't read or understand an article in a newspaper or online. Thank Gawd for his eloquence. Still no job from the agency - have made pretty good this week and put some major bux in the bank from it. Must find a "body" to be here. Not with a sexual connotation, but just to be alive and in and out. The house seems awfully quiet, cold, and empty.

I lowered myself to making breakfast for the dog and I. We had fried potato, eggs, and ham. I hate ham, as a general rule. This was majorly shredded, which made it a tad better. I put a piece of muenster cheese on top, and Jean Luc really enjoyed his part. I took a couple of pieces of buttered bread - no toaster since he moved out - and grilled it in the wok, which i do much of my cooking in. Not bad.. and a diet coke to top it off. Thinking of something to make for later.. I may break into my new stash (first time) of the Omaha Steak stuff I got. Or a bowl of KIX cereal. Maybe a nap. Slept better since I moved to the bottom of the bed for last nite. Just felt the need, since Buddy scraped my shin pretty good and it is SORE and raw. Been playing on BIDZ.com and did a tad of damage for the holiday - if it gets here, if not, no biggie.

Dec 5, 26 days till taxes due!

Still not working. Am getting by by the wits and cards.

Making pretty good, for the holidays, but darn far behind at getting out due to over 30 going on one order to Canada and everyone wanting it "NOW"!. I gotta get organized, some simblance of a running idea of what and where what is. Hope to make enuf to get by and get the taxes paid, may need to do the credit card for taxes, if I don't get a real job soon, the temp agency is SLOW! Went to two interviews yesterday (real job interviews). One was loan sharking (check into cash) 443.xx% interest (ouch!) part of the job was to go out and get the money by knocking on doors and such - they said it was not with a ball bat or gun (which I was grateful) - would take, of course my old cane the one I don't use - frivilous purchase, of a dragon, beat someone to death with a dragon! my new one came today - a quad cane with an area to help you get up if you go too low into a chair or some such - been there, done that. getting old is still a bitch! Went out by myself to evening meal.

http://www.panerabread.com/menu/cafe/crispani.php Panera. their Crispani is HUGE! I had a dinner salad, which was not on the menu, but appears to be half price of a real salad!
You Pick Two® Pair your favorite half salad with a half sandwich or a bowl of soup.
Ingredients: Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette-sugar free dressing, field greens (may contain any of the following: tango, Lolla rosa, red oak leaf, baby romaine, green oak leaf, baby red romaine, baby leaf spinach, baby red chard, red mustard, tatsoi, mizuna, frisee, arugula, radicchio, curly endive), cucumber, red onion. The tomatoes were not hydroponic, they were quite good!
I, of course had a certificate for the free crispani, which i ate 2 pieces of and brought home, finished for breakfast. the salad and chunk of bread (quite dry french baguet) filled me up, just didn't want to figure out how to lug out the whole crispani. I had the 3 cheese and it was superb! Total dinner cost was less than $3.00 (I drank water, which I need to do more of at home as well).

Dog and I shared a couple more pieces at home later, before each of us had a tad (the last) of the ice cream.... He loves the whole strawberries. Slept till a tad after 7 then we got up. Been busy since. Cried briefly at the ending of Empire of the Sun. Took drugs to not cry anymore over trivial stuff. ST JOhn Wort isn't doing all I want it to, so I every few days, do a Cymbalta. I feel the house is a dead zone, so quiet, so full of crap and stuff, and no one sitting in a back room just being "there" whether or not I speak to them or they to me. Need a room person, who has an open mind and easy to accept or move clutter on their own.

OH, the second job was high profile, law office. Manana I interview at OACAC. Package more cards, and stay in the warmth. Went before the interview and bought a brush at Sally's to do the dog's ears. I looked at two. I could piss him off for 69 cents as easily as $1.49, so I got the red one instead of the purple one (quite a change for me). But he growls regardless of whatever color it is. More later, gotta find something I have looked for for a few days that is hiding!
